Bob Hutton Obituary
He was born Feb. 1, 1929, in Carbondale, the son of L. Lester and Ruth (Alden) Hutton.
Bob was united in marriage to Betty Jean Odle on Jan. 8, 1954, in Our Savior Lutheran Church in Carbondale.
Survivors include his wife of 53 years, Betty Hutton of Anna; four daughters, Charisse Laudone of Anna, Betsy Flamm and husband, Alan, of Cobden, Lisa Hartline and husband, Steve, and Shari Van Meter and husband, Ron, of Anna; seven grandchildren, Brandi Wheeler, Kyle Wheeler and Andrew Laudone all of Anna, Joshua Flamm and Marissa Flamm, both of Cobden and Matthew Hartline and Jonathan Van Meter, both of Anna; two great-grandchildren, Taylor and Dalton James Newman of Anna.
Bob was preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Patsy Poe.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday, May 1, 2007, in Trinity Lutheran Church in Anna, with Pastor Paul Weber officiating. Burial will be at Oakland Cemetery in Carbondale, with military honors by Carol P. Foster VFW Post 3455 of Anna.
Memorial donations are the preferred form of remembrance, and may be to the memorial fund at Trinity Lutheran Church in Anna or Hospice of Southern Illinois. Envelopes will be available at the church.
The family has entrusted Meredith Funeral Home of Carbondale with arrangements.
"Thou hast died for my transgression, all my sins on Thee were laid; Thou hast won for me salvation, on the cross my debt was paid. From the grave I shall arise and shall meet thee in the skies. Death itself is transitory; I shall lift my head in glory."

Time and distance will never take away the warm memories of Uncle Bob. It always brings a smile to my face thinking of him - his facial expressions and mannerisms, also that stern look that always kept us out of trouble as a child. He will be missed but always in our hearts.
