George L. Gresh, 72

MUNCIE - George L. Gresh, 72, passed away Thursday morning, August 6, 2015 peacefully at home.

He was born January 13, 1943 in Cleveland, Ohio, the son of George and Irene (Lestock) Gresh. George graduated from Lakewood High School in Ohio and attended San Jose State University in California. He worked for Anchor Hocking for ten years before joining Ball Corporation in 1976. When he retired, from Ardagh Group in Muncie as Director of Production Planning in 2014, he had forty-eight years of experience in the glass container manufacturing industry.

George was a member of Grace Lutheran Church and the Amateur Trapshooting Association. A Past President of the Muncie Rifle and Pistol Club, George enjoyed competitive trap shooting for the past twenty years.

He is survived by his wife, Marilyn (Pixie) Gresh, Muncie; daughter, Gina (husband, Neil) Behrman, Muncie; two grandchildren, Isabelle and Charles Behrman; mother-in-law, Virginia Wade, Cathedral City, CA; siblings, David (wife, Carol) Gresh, Creston, OH, Jane Shiley, Westfield, OH, and Paul (wife, Luann) Gresh, Wadsworth, OH; sister-in-law, Jenilee (husband, John) Bartolotti, Covina, CA; and ten nieces and nephews.

George was preceded in death by his parents, and two brothers-in-law, Terry Shiley and Fred Wade.

Funeral services will be held at The Meeks Mortuary and Crematory, Washington Street Chapel, at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, August 11, 2015 with Rev. Robert Lim officiating. Burial will be at a later date in Forest Lawn Cemetery in Covina, California.

Friends may call at The Meeks Mortuary and Crematory, Washington Street Chapel, from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Monday, August 10, 2015, or one hour prior to services on Tuesday.
