Imogene Taylor Obituary
DALEVILLE - Imogene "Imy" M. Taylor, 88, of Daleville, passed away on Thursday, September 8, 2016 at Community Hospital in Anderson.
She was born in St. Charles, MO on December 23, 1927 to the late George H. and Clara Gaddis Yust.
Imy was a graduate of Anderson High School and owned a retail store in Daleville for fifteen years. She also helped her husband, Bob, with their construction business for many years. When her children were in school at Daleville, she was very involved with school activities and taught Sunday School for many years. She was a member of Daleville Christian Church and attended Tabor Church. Imy raised foster children and housed seven foreign exchange students.
She will be missed by her four daughters, Cathy Goins, Pendleton, Karen Ashton (Daniel), Daleville, Cindy Costerison (Steve), Pendleton and Mary Harris (Phillip), Pendleton; seventeen grandchildren, Bob Goins (Tina), Mike Goins (Tammy), Ben Goins (Joni), Betsy Shepherd (Scott), Dan Ashton (Emily), Tim Ashton (Hannah), Clark Costerison (Erin), Craig Costerison (Kara), Tony Costerison, Melissa Coston (Justin), David Costerison (Lydia), Jenny Davis, Chris Martin, Sarah Johns, Lyndsey Harris, Sung Kim and Francine Silva and thirty-one great-grandchildren, Timmy, Alan, Michael and Will Shepherd, Sean, Zachary, Joel and Ethan Ashton, Reagan and Lincoln Ashton, Chloe Goins, Kate Goins, Hudson, Madelyn and Nolan Goins, Cade, Stella, Jaxtyn and Sawyer Costerison, Serenity Costerison, Miles and Max Costerison, Rowan and Coraline Coston, Presley Davis, Oliveah and Braden Johns, Damien and Kaden Harris, and Alexis and Elizabeth Kim.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Bob Taylor; three sisters and two brothers.
A celebration of Imy's life will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, September 12, 2016 at Tabor Church, 10500 S. CR 300 W. Muncie. Burial will follow at Sunderland Cemetery.
Friends and family may visit from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Sunday, September 11, 2016 at the church and one hour prior to service time on Monday.
Memorial donations may be made to Daleville Community Library.
