Jack Fair Obituary
Muncie - Jack L. Fair, 78, finished his journey here on earth to go on with his next journey with his savior with no more suffering and meeting his savior and family oh; what joy. He will be missed by his family and friends.
He loved kids and carried gum to give to them and they, in turn, called him "The Gum Man!" He enjoyed playing Santa and all year was Christmas to him. His main hobby was fishing, "he was one fisher man!" His two fishing buddies besides his son Jack Fair, Jr. were Pete Peckham and Richard Brown. He wanted so to go fish one more time but, the Alzheimer's took over and wasn't able to go.
To cherish his memories he leaves his wife of 56 years, Gail (Wood) Fair; also his son Jack Fair, Jr.; a granddaughter that lives with him like his daughter Marissa Dickey also a granddaughter Sabrina Fair and grand son Sean Fair, Daleville , they were his life; one sister, Jeanetta Stader (husband-Danny), Sellersburg; one brother James Allen Fair, Clarksville; many friends.
He retired from Parson Mortuary in 2010, having done building maintenance for several years.
His mom and dad and brothers are there to welcome him home, James L. and Leona (Hahn) Fair; Joe and Gary Fair; also his daughter Suwanna Dickey. A special thank you goes to the Golden Living Health Care Center and Dr. Bahrami for their excellent care during his time of convalescents.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, July 27, 2017, 1:00 p.m. at the Parson Mortuary with Pastor John Helton officiating. Burial will follow at the Gardens of Memory Cemetery north of Muncie.
Friends may call at the Parson Mortuary on Thursday, July 27, 2017, from 11:00 a.m. until service time.

Jack brought his son and his talents to the Boys & Girls Club. As a great friend and adviser he brought a family man's perspective to the operation of the club. His great smile warmed up anyone who walked in. His friendly heart welcomed those in need no matter their circumstance. God bless the family during this time of grief.
