Kenneth McLaughlin Obituary
Kenny was born April 7, 1932 in Muncie, Indiana to the late Charles and Eileen (Basicker) McLaughlin. He graduated from Harrison Township High School in 1950. On November 4, 1950 he married Patricia Heeter. He was a husband, father, grandfather, and pastor.
Kenny was a machine repairman at Warner Gear for 40 years, retiring in 1990. He was a pastor at Buena Vista from 1985-1992 and King's Chapel from 1992-1997. He was also a farmer, home builder, small aircraft pilot, and ham radio operator. He was a member of Trinity Baptist Church, and most importantly a child of God throughout his life.
Kenny is survived by his five children, Vickie Dinsmore (husband David) of Morrow, OH, Mike McLaughlin (wife Rhonda) of Frankfort, Melinda Bagley (husband Dennis) of Greentown, Patrick McLaughlin (wife Carlye) of Ft. Wayne, and Matthew McLaughlin (wife Jeanette) of Michigan City; nine grandchildren, Amanda Hill (husband Paige), Erin Cebelak (husband Matthew), Luke McLaughlin, Chloe McLaughlin, Zachary Bagley (wife Stephanie), Hannah Bonifacius (husband Cole), Kyle McLaughlin (wife Shelby), Claire Baker (husband Scott) and Rachel McLaughlin; four great-grandchildren, Ophelia, Alaina, Kaleb, and Eloise; sister, Sharon Bollhorst (husband Leland); niece, Debbie; and nephew, Kevin.
Kenny was preceded in death by his parents and his loving wife of 64 years, Patricia McLaughlin.
A funeral service to celebrate Kenny's life will be held at 2:00 P.M. Saturday, September 16, 2017 at Trinity Baptist Church, 5000 N. Morrison Road, Muncie, with Pastor Tim Raymond officiating. Burial will follow in Jones Cemetery.
Friends and family may gather to share and remember from 11:00 A.M. until 2:00 P.M. Saturday, September 16, 2017 at Trinity Baptist Church.
Memorial contributions may be given to the Trinity Baptist Church.
