Marlene Ross Obituary
Albany - Marlene Ross, 88, passed away Sunday morning, June 20, 2021, in Muncie.
She is survived by her loving family: son, Chris Ross (wife, Mona) of Muncie; granddaughter, Melia Ozbun (husband, Shawn) of Muncie; grandson, Jordan Ross (Samantha) of Gaston; step-great-grandson, Landon Ozbun, of Muncie; and special nieces, Jill and Diane Pickering of Kokomo.
Marlene was born March 18, 1933 in Greenville, TN and was the daughter of the late Carl and Lura (Burger) McAmis.
She was also preceded in death by her granddaughter, Angela Ross; husband, Carl Ross; second husband, Art Snider; brother, Willis McAmis; brother, Robert McAmis; sister, Eva Pickering; and special nephew, Gary Pickering.
For 25 years, Marlene, along with her late husband Carl, owned and operated Ross Greenhouse, which provided local and surrounding flower shops with seasonal flowers and bedding plants. She also retired from Wilson Junior High School after more than 20 years in food service.
Marlene attended Full Gospel Temple Church and served as a greeter for many years. She loved bird watching, working in her yard and completing crossword puzzles and word searches. Marlene deeply loved and always supported her family and friends.
Graveside services will be held Friday, June 25, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. at Gardens of Memory Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to Full Gospel Temple Church, 212 W. 7th St., Muncie, IN 47302.
