Ariel Odom Obituary

HARTSVILLE — Funeral services for Ariel M. “AM” Odom, Sr., age 82, who passed away October 8, will be held Wednesday at 2:00 p.m. at the Chapel Norton Funeral Home. Rev. Dave Worthington will officiate. Burial will be in the Westview Memorial Cemetery. Visitation will be Tuesday 6-8 p.m. at the Funeral Home.
 
Ariel was born in Hartsville a son of the late Murry T. and Edith McInville Odom. He was a member of South Hartsville Baptist Church, longtime member of the Hartsville Rescue Squad and was currently a member of the Board of Directors, he was a member of the Hartsville Lions Club for 20 years and for the past several years served as the Club Treasurer. He was past Worshipful Master of the Hartsville Masonic Lodge and was a Navy veteran of WW II.
 
Surviving are 1 son: Ariel M. (Mack) Odom, Jr., Hartsville; daughters: Linda DeLaine (Daniel) Gibson, Johnson City, TN, Lorrie (Tony) Gomes, Seoul Korea, Lesley Matthews, Charleston; 1 brother: Leslie Odom, Hartsville; 4 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren, 1 great-great-grandchild, several nieces and nephews.
 
Memorials may be made to the Hartsville Rescue Squad, P.O. Box 2094, Hartsville, SC 29551 or the Hartsville Lions Club, P.O. Box 93, Hartsville, SC 29551.
