February 25, 1972 - February 22, 2022
Chapin, South Carolina - On Tuesday, February 22, 2022 Carey Ann Farrell Riley loving wife and mother passed away at the age of 49.
Carey was born in Bremerton, Washington on Feb. 25, 1972. She grew up all over the country as the child of Navy sailors, including: Groton, CT, Ewa Barch HI, Charleston, SC, and Irmo, SC. Carey graduated from Irmo High School in 1990 and went on to earn her degrees in Physical Therapy Assistant and Massage Therapy from Midlands Technical Community College, where she later taught both disciplines. She lived in Chapin, South Carolina where she and her husband, Mark Riley, raised their three children.
Carey's first love was her family she was always planning and celebrating events to enjoy with loved ones. Her passion for caring for people was always the core of everything she did. Her mom always said she, "put the Care in Carey". She was known for her quick wit, infectious smile, and kind, compassionate spirit.
Carey was preceded in death by her father, Kenneth Farrell. She is survived by her loving husband of 25 years, Mark Riley, her three children Taylor Farrell, Jack Riley, Connor Fox and his fiancee Harley Adkison, grandson Asher Fox, parents Josh and Ann Seibert, step-mother Frances Farrell, her two sisters Colleen Ferguson and Angela Mahaffey, brother Sean Barbash, as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews around the world.
A celebration of life will be held on March 19, 2022 from 1:30-5:00 pm at the *Meech House 2121 Lake Murray Boulevard, Columbia, South Carolina 29212. Light refreshments will be provided, feel free to bring a favorite dish- Carey would have loved a potluck!

Carey put her whole heart into everything she did. Her patients loved her and she loved them. Carey was a compassionate leader with invaluable insight. Carey was a genuine friend who will be sorely missed. Heaven gained a special angel- Gods peace be with her friends and family.
