Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m., Wednesday, December 28, 2011, at Open Bible Baptist Church, 638 Whetstone Road, with Rev. William Strong officiating. Burial will be in Melrose Memorial Garden. The casket will be placed in the church at 2 p.m.
Pallbearers will be Sheridan Dirk Fogle, C.W. Fogle, Jr., Dusty Fogle, Josh Reynolds, Dalton Reynolds, and Ricky Fogle.
Mrs. Fogle was born in Orangeburg County, a daughter of the late Marvin and Simmie Rickenbaker Wiles. She had been a housewife, worked at Horseman Dolls, and ran a daycare center. She was a member of Open Bible Baptist Church and had been involved with the Keenagers of Sandy Run. She loved to paint, draw, write stories and poems, and sing. She loved family and friends and was always ready to listen. She was a Mom to many children (young and old).
Survivors include her husband of 69 years, Cecil Fogle, of Magnolia Place, Orangeburg; two sons: Cecil Wade Fogle, Sr., of Ridgeland; and Sammy W. Fogle (Frances), of Swansea; nine grandchildren: Cecilia Fogle Brown, of Bridgewater, VA; Sherry Fogle, of Orangeburg; Denise Fogle Reynolds, of Gaston; Cecil Wade Fogle, Jr., of Orangeburg; Sheridan Dirk Fogle, of Myrtle Beach; Dustin Robert Fogle (Heather) of Red Bank; Leslie Warren Brown (Deniese) of Milano, TX; Travis Dale Brown (Virginia) of San Antonio, TX; and Samuel Clifton Fogle, of New York City; 10 great-grandchildren. She also had two very special caregivers, Lutricia Sparks, of Irmo; and the late Jackie Johnson, of Gaston. She was predeceased by a daughter, Mary Linda Fogle Brown.
The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m., Tuesday at Culler-McAlhany Funeral Home in North (www.mcalhanyfh.com) and other times at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Sammy Fogle, 733 Basil Road, Swansea.
The family wishes to thank Rest Assured, the third floor ICU nurses, the seventh floor nurses, Dr. Perez, and Dr. Benedict of Lexington Medical Center.
