John Styron Obituary
Phil was a graduate of Irmo High School and was self-employed as a home remodeling contractor. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army. He is survived by a daughter, Jamie Kirkland of Lexington, a daughter, Kaleigh Styron and a son, Collin Styron, both of Woodruff, and a grandson, Hayden Kirkland of Lexington. He is also survived by his mother, Marilyn H. White of Lexington, and his father, John Styron and his wife Pat of Winnsboro, a brother, Steve Styron and his wife Patty of Sandy Run, and a sister, Lesley Styron Ferner of Monument, CO, and a nephew, Hunter Ferner of Monument.

I did not realize that this page was made until I looked daddy's name up the other day... I thank you all for the many prayers and kind words.. although losing my father in my life has been hard it has made me the women I am today. And I will forever be thankful for that. I miss him more then I can explain and I thank all of you for your support and wisdom all those many years ago.

To Marilyn...Steve...Lesley...Jamie...Collin...Kaleigh...and other family members. I have fond memories of Phil, that gave support to a kindred spirit and sense of family adoration. He certainly kept us laughing, and he will be greatly missed. I love you, Debbie Hedgepath

I can only say that it is all so surreal. I only knew Phil for a short time but I can say he was a wonderful man with a deep love and devotion to his family and children. My thoughts and prayers are with you.

To Phil's Family,
Words never can say enough to take away the pain and this moment seems so surreal. However, I know he and his grandmother are in a much better place. Having the same birthday (May 17th) as Phil always made me feel we had a common bond and I learned from him growing up on Avery Lane. I wish only the best for all of you and will stay in touch forever. Your brother in Christ.

Marilyn, I was so shocked to read about Phil's death in the paper and to see that you lost your Mother the same day. I am at a total loss for words...saying you have my sympathy doesn't seem to be enough. You and your family will be in my thoughts and prayers.

To the Styron family,
My husband and I own a family restaurant in Simpsonville called the Pasta House. Just around this time last year, Phil came in for something to eat and loved the food so much that he wanted to meet the chef, my husband John. From that moment he became a friend to us. We feel as if we knew him for years! Our deepest sympathy's go to his beautiful children. We will miss him very much!

Jamie and Family,
I am so sorry that you must experience this loss at this time. You and your family are in my thoughts and prayers. The will of God will never send you where his grace can't hold you. I'm even sadden more by the grandson (Hayden) he will miss so much of. Through your father/son he gave all of you and 1 grandchild. I am so glad you and Hayden have and still are a part of our lives.
