Lawrence Shantie Obituary

ELLOREE — Lawrence George Shantie, 55, of 50 Garden Lane, Elloree, SC 29047, died Sunday, July 5, 2009. Mr. Shantie died suddenly at his home.
 
Funeral services will be at a later date in Louisville, N.Y., in St. Lawrence Catholic Church Cemetery. Fogle-Hungerpiller Funeral Home, Elloree, S.C., is in charge.
 
Mr. Shantie was born on June 28, 1954, a son of Ernest E. Shantie and the late Mary Louise Guthrie Shantie. He was born in Massena, N.Y., and was a Catholic. Mr. Shantie was a former General Mechanic and Supervisor for J.W. Aluminum Co., Goose Creek, S.C.
 
Survivors: 2 sons, Shawn Shantie and Anthony Shantie, both of Conway, S.C., 1 daughter, Bridget Shantie, Watertown, N.Y.; his father, Ernest E. Shantie and his stepmother, LuLu Belle Shantie, both of Elloree; 5 brothers, Timothy E. Shantie, Norwood, N.Y., Phillip Shantie, Chase Mills, N.Y., Frank Shantie, Norfolk, N.Y., Michael Shantie, Idaho, John Shantie, Goose Creek, S.C.; 3 sisters, Marcia Sucese, Syracuse, N.Y., Sandra Arnold, Knoxville, Tenn., and Brenda Ramsay, Oxford, N.C.
 
Fogle-Hungerpiller Funeral Home is serving the Shantie family.
