It´s shocking that 4 years have passed since Maria has passed.I imagine that having yet another anniversary of her final journey brings memories both of joy and sorrow. She is never forgotten. May her energy and love continue to surround her dear ones.

It´s been a year since Maria left her earthly beloved family to join her family in heaven. I know this year has been an ever growing heartache for her husband George and her 2 daughters. My heart and prayers go out to them. I recall Maria sharing stories about her students and her teaching day to day. She was so committed to her craft and to the folks she saw day to day. I still see George with an indulgent smile saying,, "Maria".

I am sorry to hear about Mrs. Nelson’s passing so late, she was my fifth grade teacher from 2004–2005, and I always enjoyed her class. As I am a teacher now, I think of her from time to time, especially how she always kept the classroom cold to keep us all awake. I will keep thinking of her and am deeply sorry for your loss.
