Bobbie Isabel Dudeck passed on to her Heavenly home on April 1, 2025. She was surrounded by her loving family. Bobbie was 89 years old and has been reunited with the love of her life R.F. "Bud" Dudeck. She was born on a fall day, Oct. 4, 1935, to Porter Shell Hunt and Callie Murphree in Stark, Arkansas, which is now under the Greers Ferry Lake.
Bobbie went to school in West Side and graduated High School there before getting her teaching degree at State Teachers College (now UCA) in Conway, Arkansas. It was in West Side where she met the love of her life, Bud. Her dad had a saw mill and Bud's dad came to buy lumber. It was thru that purchase that they met and fell in love. For the first 45 years of their marriage Bud and Bobbie loved to entertain all their relatives and friends on their homemade pontoon boat called the African Queen, built by her brother Tom Hunt in 1960. The both spent a great many days on Greers Ferry Lake swimming and they were both avid water skiers. They were happily married for 60 years before Bud's passing in 2020. Bobbie and Bud had two sons, Frank and Pat. They have four grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
Bobbie belonged to the First United Methodist Church (now Renew Church) in Heber Springs, Arkansas. She served on the Heber Springs City Council. Bobbie was an avid Bridge player. Her group of friends would play as much as four times a week. After the bridge game the gentlemen would come for social hour and usually then go out to dinner as a group. She taught bridge to anyone who wanted to learn the game and for a time she played Contract Bridge in Conway. Bobbie enjoyed the social life in Heber Springs, she loved to entertain and host gatherings at her home. Bud and Bobbie liked to travel and spend time with their family and grandchildren.
Bobbie was preceded in death by her parents, Porter and Callie Hunt; her late husband, Bud Dudeck; her son, Pat Dudeck; and her baby brother, Carl, who died from SIDS; her brothers, Bill Hunt, Tom Hunt, Ben Hunt, Mack Hunt; and a sister, Schell Millsap.
Left to cherish her memory is her son, Frank (Donna) Dudeck; daughter-in-law, Kerri Dudeck; a sister, Blanche (Charles) Hearn. Bobbie has four grandchildren, Cayla (Michael) Henry, Lauren Dudeck, Seth Dudeck and Rowen Dudeck. She has two great grandchildren, Nella Henry and Nora Henry.
