Deborah Banfield Obituary

BETHALTO — Deborah Christine Banfield, 65, died at 10:30 p.m., Tuesday, April 28, 2015, at her home under hospice care.

She was born Dec. 30, 1949, in Heidelberg, Germany to the late John and Carolyn (Hilligoss) Coughlin. Deborah worked for many years as an LPN for the department of corrections, retiring from the St. Louis Justice Center.

Survivors include a son, Martin (Rachel) Stevens of Tallahassee, Fla.; two daughters, Stacey (Brent) Grable of Moro, Ill. and Carrie Banfield of Bethalto; five grandchildren, Dylan Stevens and Cameron, Kylee, Madysen and Brayden Zyung; one sister, Carol Doore of Ohio; two brothers, Bob (Annette) Coughlin of Tallahassee, Fla. and Tom Coughlin of Texas; and a step sister, Connie Longfellow of Tallahassee.

She was preceded in death by her son, Michael Banfield; stepmother, Midge Coughlin; and a brother, David Coughlin.

Memorial visitation will be from 4-7 p.m. Thursday, May 7, 2015 at Paynic Home for Funerals. Private burial will be at Rose Lawn Memory Gardens.

Memorials may be made to the family.
