Deborah Paynic Obituary

Deborah Paynic
Bethalto - Deborah Ann "Debbie" Paynic, 69, passed away Friday, January 3, 2025 at her home.
Born November 6, 1955 in Alton, she was the daughter of Anthony P. "Tony" and Joyce M. (Bruce) Paynic.
She is survived by her brother, Michael Paynic of Alton; her faithful canine companion, Bader; and many cousins, extended family and many, many friends.
Debbie graduated from Roxana High School and went on to SIUE, where she played softball and field hockey. She was involved with the Piasa Indians Drill Team and the Belleville Black Knights Drum & Bugle Corps. She enjoyed boating and traveling. She worked as a hairdresser for years, helped her brother at Bubby & Sissy's, and was an usher for the St. Louis Cardinals, somehow appearing on TV every Opening Day. She loved her family and her friends, and truly knew just about everyone. Debbie loved to have a good time, and she was especially famous for her dance move, "The Paynic".
Visitation will be Saturday, January 11 at Paynic Home for Funerals from 10 a.m. until services begin at 1 p.m. A Celebration of Debbie's Life will follow at the Wood River Moose, where she was a longtime member.
Memorials may be made to Debbie's family or to Hospice of Southern Illinois.
An online guestbook is available at www.paynicfh.com.
