JERSEYVILLE - Gerald Arthur "Sonny" Perdun, 80, died at 8:31 a.m. Wednesday, December 24, 2014, at Jerseyville Nursing & Rehab Center.
Born August 24, 1934, in Log Cabin in Jersey County, Ill.
PARENTS: Lloyd Arthur "Jube" and Mildred Elizabeth (Smith) Perdun (Both Deceased)
MARRIED: Marilyn Wallace, on August 30, 1952, in Pocahontas, Ark.
He was a Farmer and Carpenter.
Survivors include his wife, Marilyn Perdun of Jerseyville; children, Gerald "Jerry" and Beverly Perdun, Jr. of Jerseyville, Patricia "Pat" and Chuck Carter of Jerseyville, Rick and Tracy Perdun of Jerseyville; grandchildren, Missy, Danielle, Jarrod, Lori, Jennifer and John; great-grandchildren, Caitlyn, Ethan, Quinn, Halie, Charli Sue, Mason, Grace, Andrew, Bryce and Reid; sisters, Carol "Sis" Sandberg of Jerseyville and Cathryn Main of Jerseyville; brothers, Dave and Neva Perdun of Jerseyville and Don and Peggy Perdun of Jerseyville.
Preceded in death by parents; brother, Wayne "Dump" Perdun; granddaughters, Julie Kay and Erin.
Visitation: 4-8 p.m. Monday, Dec. 29, 2014, at First United Methodist Church in Jerseyville, where funeral will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 30, with Rev. Mark Myers and Rev. Dennis Hill officiating. Burial: Grimes-Neely Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to First United Methodist Church or Grimes-Neely Cemetery
