Jane Sitton
Hartford - Jane Carolyn Sitton, 83, passed away Saturday, October 7, 2023 at OSF St. Anthony Health Center in Alton.
Born August 22, 1940 in Blytheville, Ark., she was the daughter of Jesse L. and Mary Rith (Burroughs) Cain.
She had been employed as a secretary for Hartford Lumber for 36 years before retiring in 1995. She also was a sales representative for Mary Kay Cosmetics for 23 years, retiring in 2017.
On November 24, 1959 in Wood River, she married Robert Gary Sitton. He died February 15, 2014.
Surviving are three sons, Robert Timothy Sitton and Steven Sitton both of Hartford, Andy (Tiffany) Sitton of Greenville; 10 grandchildren; and 14 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; and two brothers, Jesse R. Cain and Bobby Cain.
Visitation will be from 3-6 pm, Tuesday at Marks Mortuary in Wood River, where services will be held at 10 am, Wednesday. Frank Akers will officiate.
Burial will follow in Wanda Cemetery in South Roxana.
