Jerseyville, Illinois - LARRY NOBLE
JERSEYVILLE - Larry Louis Noble, 72, passed away unexpectedly at 4:20 p.m., Monday, July 28, 2025, at Jersey Community Hospital.
Born on October 5, 1952 in Alton, Illinois, he was one of four children born to Louis Leland and Doris Mae (Newberry) Noble. A lifelong resident of Jersey County, Larry graduated with the Class of 1970 from Jersey Community High School, before proudly serving his country with the United States Army.
Following his service, Larry earned his Bachelor of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering from Southern Illinois University-Carbondale and later, his Master of Business Administration. His strong work ethic and thoughtful leadership guided a long and successful career in the electrical engineering field, most notably as a Project Manager with JF Electric, where he retired in 2017 at the age of 65.
On December 30, 1977, he married Mary T. Bott at Holy Ghost Catholic Church in Jerseyville. Together, they built a life rooted in love and family. Larry was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather who found his greatest joy in time spent with his family. A quiet and steady presence, Larry led by example, teaching his children and grandchildren the value of hard work, patience, and integrity.
He was very active, playing golf at Westlake Country Club, frequently seen riding his segway around the course, and also a regular at the Wellness Center swimming laps. He was a hard worker around the house, tending to his yard and garden with care and pride. He was a handy-man and taught himself many skills such as woodworking, welding and plumbing. Later in life he became very interested in Korean culture and enjoyed Korean BBQ and kimchi, as well as K-dramas and K-pop.
Surviving are his wife of 47 years, Mary Noble of Jerseyville; two sons and a daughter-in-law, Pete and Angie Noble of Jerseyville, and Brian Noble of Los Angeles, California; a daughter and son-in-law, Erin and Ryan Tozer of Springfield; four grandchildren, Tyler and Elise Noble and Josephine and Emma Tozer; his mother, Doris Noble of Dow; and two brothers and sisters-in-law, Rodney and Iwona Noble of Hanover Park and Bradley and Penny Noble of Dow.
He was preceded in death by his father, Louis Noble; and a sister, Kathy Noble.
Private burial took place at St. Francis Cemetery in Jerseyville.
Memorials may be given to the Wellness Center in Jerseyville, in care of Crawford Funeral Home, 1308 State Highway 109, Jerseyville, Illinois 62052, who has been entrusted with arrangements.
