MARK MEYER JR.
EAST ALTON — Mark Alan Meyer, Jr., 37, passed away at 3:25 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 12, 2017 at Barnes-Jewish Hospital in St. Louis of injuries sustained in a motor vehicle accident.
Born in Alton on July 8. 1980, he was the son of Mark Alan, Sr. (Tonya) Meyer of Bethalto and Eileen Malson (Greg) Strader of Cottage Hills.
Mark had been a bartender at the "3rd Chute" in Grafton for 16 years.
He married Amie Gibbs on June 12, 2006, in Alton. She survives.
Surviving in addition to his parents and wife are his maternal grandpa, Fred Meyers, Sr.; sons, Pacey Meyer and Raven Meyer of East Alton; daughter, Mariah Crane of Sierra Vista, Arizona; brother, Patrick (Jen) Jamison of Godfrey; sisters, Allison Meyer of Cottage Hills, Kimmy Jamison of Alton, Erika (Joe) Kleine of Agency, Missouri, Lacey (Eric) Dodd of Bethalto; nieces and nephews, Sawyer Meyer, Cassandra, Ben and Annie Jamison; aunts and uncles, Joyce (Todd) Fee, Fred (Ida) Meyers, Joe (Kim) Meyers, Cheryl (Don) Dickinson; and great aunt, Marie Mudd.
His paternal grandparents, Don and Joan Meyer, Carol Thatcher; maternal grandma, Francis Meyers; aunt, Mona Schultz; and uncle, Victor Suttles preceded in death.
In accordance with his wishes, cremation services were accorded. A Celebration of Life Memorial service will be held at a later date.
Memorials are being accepted by his wife, Amie to assist with expenses.
Marks Mortuary in Wood River is in charge of arrangements.

I.m so sorry for the passing of Mark. My deepest sympathy goes out to all that loved him and is mourning his passing. Mark was a photography friend of mine sharing many wonderful Nature Wildlife photo ops together. Often tracking through water and weeds to get a better view of our subject. Mark you are very much missed my Friend.
