NAOMI HALE
CAHOKIA — Naomi Joyce Hale, 81, formerly of East Alton, passed away Sunday, August 14, 2016, at Bria Nursing and Rehabilitation in Cahokia.
She was born December 21, 1934, in East Alton, the daughter of Louis M. and Juanita B. (Wallace) Lockard. Naomi had worked for the Boy Scouts of America as a bookkeeper for over twenty years. She was a former member of Spring Street Assembly of God. Naomi enjoyed baseball, but her greatest joy was spending time with her family.
She is survived by two sons and a daughter-in-law, Kevin and Teresa Hale of Pontoon Beach, and Craig Hale of Godfrey; a sister, Norma McCormick of Houston, Texas; nine grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; and three nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Melvin "Buck" Lockard; a son, Dennis Hale; and a brother-in-law, Ben McCormick.
Visitation will be held Tuesday, August 16, 2016, from 4 until the time of funeral service at 7 p.m. at Elias, Kallal and Schaaf Funeral Home in Bethalto with Pastor David Blackburn officiating.
A private family burial will be held at Rose Lawn Memory Gardens.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Unity Hospice.
