Steven Russell Obituary
Bethalto - Steven Lee Russell, 42, passed away Tuesday, September 20, 2022.
Born June 24, 1980 in Alton, he was the son of Kathleen (Sherwood) Russell and Robert "Bob" Russell.
Steve enjoyed listening to music and fishing. He loved to drive all over.
He is survived by his mother and father, both of Bethalto; his children, Jena Russell, Jordan Russell, Aubrey Russell, Dakota "Fatty" McCormick, and Alex "Hunter Lee" Walsh; his grandson, Jeremiah Day; his brother, Dustin Russell; a cousin and three uncles that he grew up with, Jason Sherwood, Lloyd "Sonny" Bricker, Chad Sherwood and J.R. Sherwood; his ex-wife, Nichole Russell; a close friend, Christina Nance; many other aunts, uncles, cousins and extended family.
He was preceded in death by his biological father, Randy Brackett and his maternal and paternal grandparents.
Memorial visitation will be Sunday, Sept. 25 at Paynic Home for Funerals from 1 p.m. until services begin at 3:30 p.m. A Celebration of Steve's Life will immediately follow at the Cottage Hills VFW Post #7678.
Memorial donations may be given for an education fund for his children.
