David "Big Dave" W. Wolfe, 65 years old, Scott Twp., passed away peacefully Tuesday morning at his home.
David was the son of the late George R. Wolfe and the late Maryann Chrzan Wolfe. Also preceded in death by brother, George Patrick Wolfe.
David was a 1973 graduate of Mid Valley High School and a Johnson College graduate.
David was a hunter, fisherman, and loved the outdoors. David was well known from his family and friends for his famous deer jerky. David was employed at Tucker Rocky Distributing and recently retired.
David was a member of St. John Vianney Church and a Knights of Columbus member. David was a kind-hearted person and was willing to help anybody in need.
Also surviving are twin sisters, Chrissy Corby and husband, Burt, and Cindy Sherman, both from Throop; faithful companion "babes" of 47 years; nephews, Jason Wolfe and wife, Adrienne, West Wyoming, and Brandon Wolfe, Dickson City; nieces, Kimberly Bednash, Blakely, Jessica Bednash, Throop, and Sarah Carden and husband, TJ, Scranton; great-nephews, Logan and Mason Wolfe; great-niece, Jaelynne Bednash; and his two fur babies, Smoky and Ginger.
A viewing will be held Monday, Aug. 30, from 9:30 to 10:30 at St. John Vianney Church with Mass to follow to be celebrated by Father Michael Kirwin.
Arrangements entrusted to John F. Glinsky Funeral Home Inc., 445 Sanderson St., Throop. Burial will be held at the convenience of the family.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in David Wolfe's name to Griffin Pond Animal Shelter, South Abington Twp.
