Larry Peltz Obituary
Born in Susquehanna, the son of the late Robert and Elsie Cobb Peltz, Larry was a graduate of Susquehanna Community High School. He was an Army veteran, serving in Germany during the Vietnam War.
A skilled carpenter, he practiced his trade locally and then, most notably, for 20 years in the woodcraft business he created with his wife and children, Woodcraft by Judy.
Larry was a kind and friendly, fun-loving man who truly will be missed by all who knew him.
Also surviving are a son, Jason Peltz, Thompson; a daughter and son-in-law, Pamela and David Jones, Thompson; two grandsons, Jack and Rusty Jones; four brothers, Robert Peltz, Arvada, Colo.; Donald Peltz, Vestal, N.Y.; Richard Peltz, Susquehanna; and Ronald Peltz, Thompson; two sisters, Virginia Kleinbauer, Archbald; and Vivian Pickering, Susquehanna; many nieces, nephews and cousins.
He also was preceded in death by two brothers, George and Russell Peltz.
A memorial service will be Sunday at 2 p.m. at the Hennessey's Funeral Home, 747 Jackson Ave., Susquehanna. Burial will be in East Ararat Cemetery. The family will receive friends Sunday from 1 to 2 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society or Veterans Administration Hospital.
