Michael O'Connor of Scranton died Wednesday at Geisinger Community Medical Center surrounded by his family.
Born in Scranton, he was the son of Martha Fanning O'Connor of Scranton and the late Joseph A. O'Connor and was a graduate of the Scranton Preparatory School. He was the president of O'Connor Plumbing and Heating Company. He was a member of Mary of Mother of God Parish.
Also surviving are two sons, Mitchell O'Connor of Florida, and Quinn O'Connor of Elmhurst; a daughter, Claire O'Connor of Elmhurst; three brothers, Joseph O'Connor of Scranton, Marty O'Connor of Waverly, and John O'Connor of Scranton; two sisters, Martha "Mitsy" O'Connor of Colorado and Joan O'Connor Passino of Virginia; and several nieces and nephews.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday at 10 a.m. at Holy Rosary Church, 316 Williams St., Scranton. Interment will be private. Friends may call at the church from 9 a.m. to Mass time. Interment will be private.

Mike
was a fine man,
who lived an excellent life
Mike and I were classmates in high school and friends during our entire adult lives
Mike was a wonderful father, brother and friend.
