Nicholas Oselinsky Obituary

Dr. Nicholas Oselinsky Jr., age 88, of Tunkhannock, passed away after a brief illness Wednesday evening at Golden Living Center in Tunkhannock. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 56 years, Helen Krapcho Oselinsky, on Dec. 23. 2011.

Born in Falls on May 30, 1927, son of the late Nicholas Sr. and Anna Mislevy Oselinsky, Nicholas was a graduate of the former Falls Overfield High School, class of 1947, before joining the United States Navy. After earning his bachelor's degree from the University of Pittsburgh, he went on to attain his Doctor of Dental Surgery Degree (DDS) from the University of Pittsburgh School of Dental Medicine. For over 30 years, he practiced private dentistry in Tunkhannock, until his retirement in 1990. He was a longtime member of St. Michael's Orthodox Church in Old Forge.

He is survived by his loving son, Dr. David Oselinsky and wife, Marcia of Port Matilda; and two granddaughters, Alexa and Katrina Oselinsky.

His family wishes to thank the entire staff of Golden Living Center, Tunkhannock, for the care given to Nicholas while he was under their care.

Funeral services are scheduled for Thursday at 10:30 a.m. at St. Michael's Orthodox Church, 512 Summer St., Old Forge, to be conducted by the Rev. Peter Henry, rector. Interment will follow in the parish cemetery, Old Forge.

Relatives and friends may pay their respects at the church on Thursday from 10 a.m. until services.

Arrangements are by the Thomas P. Kearney Funeral Home Inc., 517 North Main St., Old Forge.
