Robert Francis Troy, Green Ridge section, passed into miraculous peace Sept. 23 at Regional Hospital of Scranton. His wife of 67 years is the former Elizabeth "Betty" Troatsy.

A faithful and active member of St. Paul's Parish, he gladly shared his talents by serving in its Holy Name Society, the finance committee, volunteering with the block party, decorating the church for holiday celebrations and singing in the choir for decades.

Bob Troy was a good and decent man. As a kid, I thought BettyandBob was one word. Their kindness toward and concern for our family will always be remembered. Rest in peace.

Dear Mrs. Troy, I am deeply saddened by this news. I always admired Mr. Troy. A wonderful example for young men to emulate. A pillar in our neighborhood. A leader of St. Paul's for decades. Thank you Loving Father for giving us this good soul.
