Shirley Bartosh Obituary

Shirley Ann Bartosh, 72, of Scranton, died Sunday evening at Thomas Jefferson Hospital, Philadelphia, as a result of complications following surgery. She was preceded in death by her husband, Nicholas, in 2001 at 72.

Born in Scranton, daughter of the late Albert and Mary Strellish Rafalko, she was a graduate of Moosic High School and the University of Scranton, where she was also employed for 22 years in the financial aid office. Horn, and their children, Lauren Nichole and Matthew Shawn, all of Middleton, Wis.; Lisa Bartosh and husband, Chip Bender, and their children, Brandon Nicholas and Brooke Marie, all of Harrisburg; and a brother, John Rafalko and his family, Arvada, Colo.

The funeral will be Friday at 9:30 a.m. from the Talipski Funeral Home, 3401 Pittston Ave., Greenwood section of Moosic, with Mass at 10 in St. Mary of Czestochowa Church, to be celebrated by the Rev. Albert Oldfield, pastor.
