Thomas Jaworski Obituary

Thomas Charles Jaworski, 56, of Ransom, passed unexpectedly Wednesday at home. Thomas is survived by his beloved wife of 30 years, Christine Jaworski, whom he loved dearly.

Born in West Scranton to the late Thomas and Romayne Jaworski, he was a 1979 graduate of West Scranton High School and also attended Penn State University. Tom was a well-known and highly respected business owner along with his wife, Christine, of Jaworski Sign Co., West Scranton. He was a devoted husband, father and grandfather who loved nothing more than time spent with his family. He was a huge fan of the Minnesota Vikings and enjoyed spending his Sundays watching football with his family and friends. Tom loved the outdoors; especially gardening, hunting, fishing and taking care of his chickens, along with listening to his classic rock music every day. Tom was a hardworking man and a wonderful person who was quickly adored by all who knew him.

Also surviving are three sons, Matthew Jaworski and fiancée, Sara Swingle, Pittston; Thomas Jaworski Jr. and wife, Christina, Old Forge; and Joseph Jaworski and wife, Amanda, Scranton; nine grandchildren, Alexa, Faith, Joseph, Kyle, Austin, Dylan, Cassandra, Elizabeth and Stephanie; one sister, Michelle Malinko and husband, Gary, Old Forge; aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by the Rev. Fran Landry, C.P., pastor, on Monday at 10 a.m. in St. Ann's Basilica with interment to follow in SS. Peter & Paul R.C. Cemetery, Taylor.

Viewing for family and friends will be Sunday, 3 to 7 p.m., in the Edward J. Chomko Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 262 Railroad Ave., West Scranton. Memorial contributions in Tom's name can be made to Marworth "Gift of Hope Scholarship Fund," P.O. Box 36, Lily Lake Road, Waverly, PA 18471; or SPCA of Luzerne County, 524 E.
