Gerald August Teltow

My Father, my Hero, and my BEST Friend.

Dad was always there for me through thick and thin. Never raising his hand at me, instead using conversation. I now know what he was telling me. "Whatever you're thinking, I've already done it, and it didn't work out well." so heed the warning young man and follow the straight and narrow road.
He was absolutely correct in everything he told me. If it wasn't for that, God only knows where I would be today.

My pain of you being gone will ease in time, but the memories I have of you and me will last until I join you.

I look above and see you, Mom and Mary looking down at me, just shak'n you're heads.

I was the Luckiest Man in the World to have you as a Father.

Love You Dad

My most memorable time with Mr. Teltow was really a fun one...I worked with his daughter, Joanie and knew she had purchased her first really nice car as a 40th birthday present to herself. A few friends and I snuck over to her house to 'DECORATE" her new car and her mom and dad caught us but ended up helping us out by keeping Joanie busy until we were done. After she saw the "artwork" on her wheels Mr. Teltow invited us in for a birthday beer after which followed with the girls going to get our first tattoos. Joanie went with one group and I went with another...needless to say, when we came to work the next day, hers was stick-on and mine wasn't. Another fun memory I had of him was of him coming in one day to have his blood drawn for routine labs. After I finished I asked a favor and, like the awesome person he was, he went along with me. I put about 50 bandaids on his hands, arms, etc and when he walked down the hall to say hi to Joanie he said, "look what she did to me trying to draw my blood!" I thought Joanie would have an attack. You have to appreciate his going along with this because the man was hairy...like a little furball...loved him and his sense of humor, love for his family, etc. My sincere condolences Teltow family...the world is definitely a lesser place without him in it.

A wonderful person who has always made me feel welcome in his family, a kind smile and thoughtful words. I enjoyed the time we spent together and admired the role model you are to my son, your great grandson Kyler. You will be in my thoughts and will be surely missed.
