Robert Gorham Obituary

Robert L. Gorham II Marysville Robert Leon Gorham II, 58, died Friday, December 10, 2010. He was born January 20, 1952 in St. Clair to Barbara Jean and the late Robert L. Gorham. Bob spent his life bartending at various establishments throughout the area and after his retirement worked at Gronek's Party Store. He truly loved life and people, and enjoyed traveling, especially to Nevis. He is survived by his mother, Barbara of Marysville; a sister, April (Walter) Gronek of Marysville; nephew, Daniel (Danielle) Kilbourn; uncle, William Bauman; and many dear friends. He was preceded in death by his brother, Steven. Visitation will be from 12:30 - 2:00 p.m. on Monday, December 13, 2010 in the Marysville Funeral Home with a memorial service following at 2:00 p.m. The Reverend Max Amstutz will officiate. My brother just called to tell me about Bob's death, and I am so very sorry and sad. I first met Bob in 4th grade at Garden's elementry and he was always so much fun to be around. I was his golf partner at our last class reunion, and we had so much fun. I will remember him always as a one of the sweetest guys I have ever know.

Dear Mother of 2 Great Sons ~ My thoughts & prayers are with you. From what all have said about Bob he must have been a great person & will truly be missed. I knew & loved Steve, met him in Texas and he was always a great JOY to be around. Whenever we went camping to get out of the 'rat race' we always stopped to get Steve to let him get away too. All of us loved Steve & will certainly miss him.

I first met Bob in 1969. We became part of a little community that included Pat Graham,Marque,Kirk,Michael and others. Bob was always just full of life and always ready for the next adventure. We had some crazy times that only youth could appreciate. I remember those times fondly and warmly. May you rest in peace.

May you find comfort in knowing that Bobby will be well taken care of in Heaven. He is with many of his family and friends, one of them being my husband whom we all knew as Spider who passed away July 27th 2010. I will always remember Bobby's smile, stories of Nevis and the way he could always make you feel like the most important person in the room. I have known many people in my 40 years and none more kind, compassionate and good as Bobby. I will miss him, as will the world.
