David James Obituary

Mr. David Alan James,
age 74, of Cherry Street,
Toccoa, passed away Sat-
urday, Aug. 16, 2025, at his
residence.
A son of the late Hilton
and Ruth Murray James,
he was born Dec. 2, 1950,
in Stephens County, Geor-
gia, where he lived all his
life. He was employed with
Coats and Clark for many
years and later with
PakPro. He was of the Bap-
tist faith and a member of
First Baptist Church Toc-
coa. He enjoyed collecting
coins, toys and tags and
painting tags.
Survivors include his
wife of the home, Doris
Cheek James; nephews
reared in the home, Justin
and Derek Ramey; a num-
ber of cousins.
Graveside services
were held Wednesday,
Aug. 20, 2025, at 11 a.m. at
Roselane Cemetery with
the Rev. Ray Bohannon of-
ficiating. The following
gentlemen served as pall-
bearers: Donnie Smith,
Donnie Paul Smith, Ricky
Cheek, Darren Woody,
Bobby Honea and Shane
Sheriff.
The family received
friends at the Acree-Davis
Funeral Home on Wednes-
day from 10 a.m. until time
to leave for the service.

be left for the family at

Interment followed in
the Roselane Cemetery
with the Acree-Davis Fu-
neral Home in charge of
the arrangements for Mr.
David Alan James.
