Luther Carlton Ramey

Mr. Luther Carlton
Ramey, age 84, of Braswell
Street, Toccoa, passed
away Tuesday, Aug. 5,
2025, at the home of his
son.
A son of the late Wes
Ramey and Nancy Black-
well Ramey, he was born
May 31, 1941, in Stephens
County, Georgia, where he
lived all his life. He was
employed with Fieldale for
a number of years as a
truck driver, and owned
Ramey's Sanitation Ser-
vice. He was a member of
Tabernacle Holiness
Church and was a loving
father, grandfather and
great-grandfather.
In addition to his par-
ents, he was preceded in
death by his wife, Carolyn
Burton Ramey, daughter,
Debora Ramey Sertain,
and by a brother, D.T.
Ramey.
Survivors include his
sons and daughter-in-law,
Ricky and Kay Ramey, of
Eastanollee, Lamar
Ramey, Mark Ramey, and
Albert Sertain, all of Toc-
coa; a number of grand-
children and great-grand-
children; a number of
nieces and nephews.
Memorial service was
held Monday, Aug. 11,
2025, at 2 p.m. in the Hill-
crest Chapel of the Acree-
Davis Funeral Home with
the Rev. Ray Bohannon of-
ficiating.
The family received
friends at the Acree-Davis
Funeral Home on Monday
from 1 p.m. until the ser-
