George Fisher Obituary

Dr. George Robert Fisher

Dr. George Robert Fisher, 68, of Deridder passed away Tuesday, July 10, 2012 at his home. Visitation will be Thursday, July 12, 2012 from 5-9 pm at First United Methodist Church. Funeral service is Friday, July 13, 2012 at 2 pm at First United Methodist Church with Rev. Wayne Evans officiating. Interment will be in Talbert Cemetery in Pitkin.

Survivors include wife Rolanne Petters Fisher of De ridder; daughter K. C. Fisher Rupf (Dave) of Ragley, two sons, Laird Fisher of Norman Oklahama, and Dr. Rawleigh Fisher (Sarah) of Lake Charles, eight grandchildren, three great grandchildren, and one brother Jack Fisher (Coni) of Shreveport.

A special thanks from the family to Dr. Ben Thompson, Dr. Frank Marrero, Dr. Michael Broussard, Dr. Randall Duplechain and the nursing staff of the 2nd and 3rd floor of Lake Charles Memorial Hospital.

My deepest sympathy goes out to The Fisher family, his staff and friends. Not only was he my dentist, but a close friend during my trying times. Doc Fisher, you will be missed. God Speed, I salute you Colonel Fisher.
