Julius Willis

Funeral services for Julius Willis will be held at 2 pm., Sunday, November 3, 2013 in the White Oaks Memorial Chapel of Oakdale with the Reverend A.A. Haymon, Reverend Jerry Odom, and Reverend Greg Willis officiating. Committal service will follow in the Oak Hill Cemetery under the guidance of White Oaks Funeral Home of Oakdale.

Julius, 73, of Oberlin, entered eternal rest on Thursday, October 31, 2012. He was born on August 16, 1940 in Oakdale to the union of Davide and Olive Odom Willis. He was a member of the Local 692 as a pipeliner. He was self employed moving buildings and leveling buildings. Julius was a Pentecostal by faith. He was a loving husband, father, brother, grandfather, great grandfather, uncle, and friend.

He leaves behind his loving family to cherish his memory, wife, Norma Jane Willis of Oberlin; three sons, Tony Willis of Colorado Springs, Colorado, Mike Willis of Oberlin and Jason Willis of Sugartown; four daughters, Melissa Johnson of Woodworth, Michelle Lovejoy of Oberlin, Kristi Cole of Oberlin, and Candace Smith of Lafayette; five brothers, Sylvester Willis, O.K. Willis (Kim), John Lewis Willis (Judie) all of Oakdale, Billy Wayne Willis of Glenmora, and Cecil Mason Willis (Debbie) of West Monroe; six sisters, Lillian Rhodes and Virginia Hess (Wayne) both of Oakdale, Claudia Monk of Lake Charles, Bernice Davis (Joe) of New Caney, Texas, Larcenia Willis (Ray) of Elizabeth, and Doris Willis Jones of Mansfield, Texas; nineteen grandchildren, one great grandson, nieces, nephews, family, and friends.

Visitation will be Saturday, November 2, 2013 from 11 am until 10 pm, then on Sunday, November 3, 2012 from 10 am until service time at 2 pm in the chapel.
