Services for Sandra Gail Baker Fowler will be held at 3:30 p.m., Sunday, December 22, 2013 in the Chapel of Hixson Brothers, Pineville with Dr. C. Stewart Holloway and Dr. Leon Hyatt officiating. Music will be provided by Chris Turner. Burial will be in Pine Grove Cemetery, Ruby.

The family requests that visitation be observed Sunday at Hixson Brothers, Pineville from 11:30 a.m. until time of service.

Mrs. Fowler, 72, of Pineville passed away Friday, December 20, 2013 at Rapides Regional Medical Center, Alexandria.

She was a life-long member of First Baptist Church, Pineville and a retired teacher with the Rapides Parish School Board. She was a graduate of Pineville High School and was a band member. Mrs. Fowler also graduated from Northwestern State University, Natchitoches.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Lawrence and Lucille Folse Baker and her grandparents, Carney Alexander and Mary Ada Baker and Ralph John and Ioney Ryland Folse.

Those left to cherish her memory include her sister, Linda Baker Welch and her husband, Winston Welch; one aunt, Mrs. Gloria M. Baker; two nieces, Sharlene Welch Lawson and her husband, Wayne and Kayla Welch Patrick and her husband, Randy; two great nephews, Andrew Lawson and Glenn Patrick; two great nieces, Avery Lawson and Sydney Ellen Patrick. Survivors also include many close cousins and special friends including, Mary Alexander, Marlene Byers, Madaline Coby and Debbie Hale.

Pallbearers honored to serve are Greg Baker, Donald Baker, Andrew Lawson, Wayne Lawson, Randy Patrick and Clayton Alexander.

Memorials may be sent to the Lottie Moon Christmas Offering c/o Frist Baptist Church, Pineville or to Main Street Baptist Mission, Building Program.
