I will miss not seeing Lisa - a very smart, compassionate and caring person - her dedication to family, her profession and passion for the performing arts was so admirable - a very bright star in the dark sky. I´m honored to have known her since high school days and to call her a very dear friend.

Dear Moon-Chan family:
Our hearts go out to you all. Living in Virginia, it will be impossible to attend her celebration of life.
She was a dear friend, a terrific performer, wonderful administrator. Working with her in various musicals with Community Players, was a joy. She was determined to do a perfect cartwheel in Paint You Wagon, and she worked hard until she did.
Ron and I have you all in our thoughts.

So, so sad to hear of the sudden passing of Lisa Moon, whom I first met when she and her theatre partner in crime, Jeannie Wood, came to Seattle to see the production of Snow Falling on Cedars that I was in with Book-It Theatre. I would run into them again at a CAATA conference as they were always looking for shows to do for their Asian American theatre in Nevada City called Community Asian Theatre of the Sierra (CATS). I got to see their 2015 production of Hotel on the Corner of Bitter and Sweet and we joked that we were theatre twins as Lisa always played the same roles for her company that I did at Book-It. In 2016 I got to spend 6 weeks doing Chinglish at her theatre company and got to meet her lovely family. My heart is with them. She was such a major force in their community and will truly be missed there and beyond.

My first memories are of the patient compassionate dr-caregiver professional in our community. Since then l have been given occasional opportunities (CATS) to observe the remarkable woman that graced our community. I was drawn to her energy as a kind communicator. She will remain a strong imprint as a joyful person amongst us.
