Johanna Bot passed away peacefully on January 14th, 2024, at home in Panacea, FL. Johanna was born in Wervershoof, the Netherlands, on December 27, 1937, to parents Carolus & Cornelia Kooter. She was an accomplished seamstress, loved cooking, and traveled and lived all over the world, in Egypt, South Africa, Singapore, and Germany with her husband of 62 years, Johannes Bot. Married in 1961, she and her husband retired to the United States, where Johannes built their home on a seaside canal with an ocean view, in which they lived their final years in tranquility in Panacea, FL. A beloved wife, mother, grandmother and aunt, she leaves behind her husband, Johannes, her sons Paulus (Jenny) Bot, Gary (Dawn) Bot, and Jan Bot Jr., her daughter Cornelia Spearing, as well as her grandchildren, Jessica Sarah Lester, Tanus Bot, Nicholas Bot, Morgan Bot, Nathan Bot, James Spearing and Daniel Spearing, and her nieces Linda, Chris and Nadine.
