Margaret Wright Obituary

WESTERLY Margaret H. Wright, lovingly known as Peg, passed away on June 4, 2025, just days before she and her beloved husband, Leonard A. Wright, would have celebrated their golden wedding anniversary.

Peg was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and friend. She was predeceased by her cherished grandparents, Vincent and Margaret Clark, and her dear great uncle, Richard Dolan. She is survived by her husband Leonard of Westerly, her son Jason Wright of Hopkinton, and her daughter Crystal Panciera and son-in-law Paul Panciera of Westerly. She also leaves behind her uncle, Vincent Clark Jr. of Massachusetts, and the four grandchildren she was so incredibly proud of: Aiden Wright of East Greenwich, Zoe Wright of Hopkinton, and Marissa Panciera and Jackson Panciera both of Westerly, Rhode Island.

Peg was known for her caring heart, loyal spirit, and quiet strength. She found great joy in nature, especially in her gardens, and had a deep love for animals. A talented crafter, she shared her creativity generously, gifting handmade crocheted keepsakes that will be treasured for generations.

Peg's warmth, love, and unwavering devotion to her family will be deeply missed and fondly remembered by all who knew her.

An intimate Celebration of Peg's Life will be scheduled at a later date. Gaffney-Dolan Funeral Home, 59 Spruce Street, Westerly is in charge of the arrangements. For online condolences please visit www.gaffneydolanfuneralhome.com

Len, Crystal, Jason and families, I´m so sorry for your loss. Peg is an Angel and she will always be with you whenever you think of her. I know we all have fond memories of her, whether it´s out in the garden planting flowers or vegetables, learning how to crochet , and yes, the Christmas cookie exchange, which we all had so much fun doing! I love you Peg and you will always be in my heart!
Len, if you ever need anything, please let me know!
Love,

I am terribly saddened by the loss of Peg. I am sending Love and Prayers to Len, Jason, Crystal and families. I will forever cherish our many Christmas Cookie exchanges. Peg,Bonnie, Jacquie and I were the origional crew that started the annual Cookie exchange and we still do, this year will be the 49th. She hasn´t been able to join us the past decade but we remember her fondly EVERY Year. She still managed to get some too.
I also had the pleasure of sharing gardening with her and Len. They had beautiful vegetable and flower gardens. We exchanged plants for many years. I also had been blessed to be part of her crocheting buddies. She has made beautiful gifts for family and friends. We taught each other how to make doilies and I will treasure them always
The picture is one from my wedding where you all looked so young and beautiful, I hope you enjoy it
I feel blessed to have been her friend and wish love and peace to her family. Len, we are not far and hope that when things quiet down we can get together. Meanwhile if there is anything we could do for you or the kids please don´t hesitate to ask. You worked hard to give her her own little slice of heaven in the yard, she always praised you for your love and work. With Love and Prayers
