Linda, please know that Paul was a real help to our reunion committee and he renewed many old friendships. All of us who spent time with him treasured him for the good guy he was. We laughed about our time in Spanish class. He was indeed a gentleman and I will miss him.

I knew Paul for many years and coached at the same time as Paul (just not as well), officiated with Paul (just not as well), and worked with him at the OHSAA tournaments. I will always remember how he enjoyed life and seeing former wrestlers and students. He was a great man and I am sorry to hear of his passing.

I went to high school with Paul, I remember him as always light hearted and geniune in his thoughts and words. He would always take time to talk with you, and his eyes would always have a smile in them, just for you. I knew him as a quiet and reserved person and very kind person. My condolences and prayers go out to his family and friends. The world needs many, many more Paul Wrobbel's. May God be with you Paul.

I respected Mr Wrobbel for his peaceful calm way of communicating. What a great man. During a practice he quoted "dogs get mad, people get angry" I still use his quote today and tell people my wrestling coach told me that. God Bless him and his loved ones

I didn't realize it at the time but Coach Wrobbel probably just started coaching when I was wrestling at Whetstone in 71-73. My prayers for Coach and the family of this great mentor.

Mr. Wrobbel was my history teacher at Whetstone in the early 70's. He had such an evident love for kids. He was an encourager, and had a dry wit. He made us laugh all the time. I am forever grateful to him for being such a great influence in my life. My condolences to his family.

Our deepest condolences to the Wrobbel family. I had the privilege of working with Paul at I-High and he could always make the day brighter for me by just stopping in my office to see how I was doing. He was one of the nicest men I have ever worked with at CPS. Our prayers are with you during this difficult time.

I will always be grateful for the impact Coach had in my life. As a Whetstone grad and Wrestler Mom I know the influence Paul had on many families. He was the insiparion for my son to attend college and become a Coach himself. While these word are not enough to express my gratitude, please know he will be missed and his influence will carry on by more people than can be counted. Thank you Coach and thank you to the family that shared him with so many.

It was sad to learn of Coach Wrobbel's death, but it was also nice to think back to those days at Centennial and remember Coach. It's funny, Coach Wrobbel was an assistant coach for a couple of my years at CHS, but for some reason I remember him most for being my homeroom teacher. He always made you laugh at 7:15 am, which is difficult to do considering our age group back then. The extremely dry humor, and and funny comments are really what I'll remember about Coach. Again, I'm sad to her of his passing, but happy to have known him, and it's nice to remember him and hear all these great words about him.

My deepest sympathy to the Wrobbel Family. What a pleasure and privilege it has been to work with, and to know Coach Wrobbel. Coach Wrobbs had a rough voice, but a soft heart. Forever teaching young boys to become men;he was always loved and respected by his players and peers. Thinking of our years at "I" High and Worthington, Paul always brings a smile to my face. Paul has done more than his share to make this world a better place today, than the day he entered this world. Coach Wrobbs will not be forgoten, and his lessons will live on through the thousands of lives he has touched.

Coach Wrobbel was a man of integrity. I am forever changed because of his influence. His impact on the lives of a countless number of young men is priceless. He was real, fair, consistent, compassionate, just to name a few. His strength is still felt even though I graduated from Whetstone 37 years ago. With love in my heart for a mentor of incredible worth- rest well coach. I feel that slap on my back one more time!

coach will be missed. my heart goes out to his family. many things come to mind when i think of him, integrity, strong as a bull, good coach and most of all likeable. i remember a football drill where there was a helmet on an orange cone, he named it mr peabody. we have laughed about that for years. he would invite me into the wrestling room and wear me out, all 150 pounds of me. i would love to be there right now. rest in peace coach, look foreward to catching up with you again.

I wrestled for coach Wrobbel, and often think of him fondly. To this day I remember him grabbing one of us to wrestle, and while he easily wrestled he would sing the Tennessee Waltz. What a great man.

There's an old saying that goes "What a shame when a great man dies. Earth needs such men more than heaven does." That certainly applies to Mr. Wrobbel. Not only was he a great guy and a wonderful educator he was also my favorite teacher during my 3 years at Whetstone. I was saddened to learn of his passing.
