Funeral services for Bob Alinder, longtime Buffalo, Wyoming resident who passed away Monday at the Wyoming Medical Center in Casper, will be held Friday, December 18th at 11:00 a.m. from the Harness Funeral Home Chapel in Buffalo, Wyoming with Pastor Alena Lamirato officiating. Visitation will held Thursday from 1:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. from the funeral home chapel. Interment will be in Willow Grove Cemetery with graveside services to follow the funeral. www.harnessfuneralhome.comRobert William Alinder was born on April 3rd, 1935 to Russell and Edna (Brown) Alinder of Buffalo, North Dakota. He grew up and went to school in Buffalo and graduated from Buffalo High School with the class of 1953. After high school he attended the University of North Dakota where he received a B.S. in Banking and Finance. Bob later graduated from the Wisconsin School of Banking. He joined the U.S. Army and was stationed in Germany from 1957 until 1959. He was married to Margaret Grieve on June 14th 1956 and they made their home in Wahpeton, North Dakota where Bob began his banking career. They were transferred to Kalispell, Montana where he worked in banking until 1976 when they moved to Buffalo, Wyoming and Bob took a job with the Wyoming Bank and Trust. They also owned and operated the Kinnison Trailer Court in Buffalo for many years. Bob retired in 1997 and continued living in Buffalo where he was on the board of directors for the Wyoming Bank and later the American National Bank until the time of his death.
Bob and the gift of humor and will long be remembered for his many jokes and stories. He was an avid sports fan, enjoyed motorcycles, cars and attended numerous Sturgis rallies. He really enjoyed the daily coffee routine with his good friends. He was a tremendous source of knowledge and experience to his family and friends.
He is survived by his wife Margaret of Buffalo; two daughters, Karla Granger and her husband Mike of Renton, Washington and Diane Ellison and her husband John of Casper; one son, Kerry of Corpus Christi, Texas; four grandchildren, Ryan Granger and his wife Laurel, Molly Granger and Matt Granger of Renton Washington, Cory Ellison and his wife Lauren of Great Falls, Montana; one great-grandson, Jace also of Great Falls; one brother Kenneth Alinder of Fargo, North Dakota; one sister Sharon Dragland and her husband Juel of St. Cloud, Minnesota and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother Dallas and one sister-in-law Irma.
