Hannah Denise Baker November 2, 1990 - November 12, 2014 With grief in our hearts we regretfully announce the untimely tragic death of Hannah. Hannah's heart and soul were too big to explain in words. Hannah's life touched so many people, more than we will ever know. Hannah attended Northwood's Christian School, Winship Jr. High, Saint Bernard's High School and College of the redwoods. She was gifted beyond her years and excelled in everything she was involved in. She participated in sports at an early age and continued her love of sports by playing for a women's League Volleyball team, now named "The Baker's Dozen." Hannah was an avid gardener: she raised pigs, chickens, sheep, and goats to supply her family with the best organic food/meat possible. Hannah truly enjoyed being healthy. Hannah was always giving her time and energy to those who needed her, especially as a housewife and mother; devoting herself to them 100%. You could see how much Hannah loved her life by the smile on her face. Hannah challenged us all to see the world in many different ways: she always saw the grey areas, knowing life isn't just black and white. She was a special kind of special that we will never forget. She is survived in death by her adoring husband Nicolas Baker, her son Marcelo Baker, mother Samantha Burrows-McDermott, father Abraham McDermott, sister Cearra McDermott, brother Asha McDermott, mother-in-law Rosanna Bruhnke, fathers-in-law Marcelo Baker Sr. and Louis Bruhnke, sisters-in-law Andrea and Emma Bruhnke, grandmother Barbara Wallace, grandmother Kathleen Ross, grandparents Samuel and Theresa Burrows, uncle Daniel McDermott, uncle Dan Pollin, uncle Jason Rauch, aunt Theresa Snoke, aunt Jessica Borzelleri, aunt Jennifer McDermott, aunt and life-long best friend Angela Grace, and multiple great aunts, uncles, cousins. grandfather Edward McDermott precedes her in death. A private viewing was held for family. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
