Lila Jarman Obituary

6/19/44 - 1/20/12 Our beloved mother, Mom, Wahwah, Gram, Gramma, went to the Lord on 1/20/12. Mom was a wonderful, caring, nurturing person who had a heart of gold. She was born in Los Angeles to Paul and Alice Cunningham. It was there that she met and married Richard Jarman and had 3 children prior to moving to Humboldt County. After working at "The Scotia Inn" and "Sprouse-Ritz", Mom found her passion being a Teachers' Assistant for the Master Plan Class at Scotia Elementary School. She then moved on to F.U.H.S Resource Center and loved every one of "her kids". Mom was wonderful, very patient, with kids of all ages and enjoyed teaching them. Invariably, on summer nights, you would find her at baseball games cheering her sons on to victory or working in the snack bars. Mom leaves behind her 3 children: Darrell, David and JoLynne (Karen); her granddaughters: Alana Pucci (Rick) and Ashley Garcia Jarman (Crystal); great grandkids: Kaeden, Ella, Gavin and Bentley (Mom, Ashley and great-grand/son Bentley all shared the same birthday of June 19!); sisters: Joyce Hougham (Art) and Shirley Dilley (Jack), and their families; her extended family: Jessica Martinez, the Holland family (Theresa, Krystal, Laci and Chanc), Sandy Jarman, the Clausen family (Pat, Renee, James, Charlee and Donee), the Schoenhofer family (Don, Stacey, Shanley, Merritt and Makenna), Everett Kay, and sisters-in-law: Molly Jarman, Lee Ann Miller, Lynn Chandler and their families, together with many other loving friends and family members. Mom was preceded in death by her parents, our Dad and his mother Heidi Brown, Jesse Holland, Andrea DeMille and her best friend Jan Peterson. Mom enjoyed Sunday get-togethers with family and friends. So, instead of a service, the family asks that she be remembered on any chosen Sunday while enjoying the company of one another: laugh, eat, play with the children/grandkids-read them a story-participate with them in an art project, as she did. We all loved you, Mom, and take pleasure in knowing that you can now walk straight while being pain-free. We picture you sitting on the dock at Ruth Lake with Jan and Dad, fishing, with a huge smile on your face. Rest in peace! In lieu of flowers, please consider donating to Miranda's Rescue in the memory of Mom, Lila Jarman. Arrangements are under the care of Goble's Fortuna Mortuary. My dear, sweet Aunt Lila...I will miss her! She always had kind words to say of others. She always made me laugh! And what a gentle heart she carried. No matter what hardships she faced, she had time for others and focused on the good side of everyone. My Aunt, but also my friend...The Lord knows how she needed relief from the pain that goes with this life. Now she knows true rest and peace. My love to you cousins: JoLynne, Davie, and Darrell. My heart and prayers are with you all. Much love always, Helen

A wonderful person will be missed. A lot of good times in Scotia over the years. Staying at Cabana Holiday, going to the beach and just getting together with friends. Going to ball games, was one of her favorite things to do. Her wonderful smile and always wanting to help others no matter what. Even when she was not feeling good, she never lost her humor. Bless you Lila, now your pain is gone, something you always wanted. Love to the family. Gary and Sue Brown
