Dear Wendy, Jim and Eric,
Paul & I were so sad to hear of the passing of your mom - a truly memorable woman. We had many fun evenings with your mom and dad some years ago. You're in our hearts and prayers.

The UVM Extension Office in Berlin has had the extreme pleasure of Mickey being part of our team for the past one and a half years. A short time, but long enough for us to know the treasure we'd found. We're so lucky that complete retirement wasn't for her!!
Missing you SO much, Mickey. Left a vase of lilacs on your desk today...just like last year.

I am so sad to hear about Mickey. She hired me to work with her at the State in 1992 and I found her to be so much fun and so knowledgeable and for being a newbie at the state, she helped to adjust so much. Great woman!.

Mickey was such a beacon of light. Each time I picked up the phone to contact my Guardians at CFS, I hoped that Mickey would answer. When Mickey was there, I felt safe. She made me feel special and wanted. Thank you, Mickey, it meant so much. I am blessed to have known her sweetness, caring, and humor--it was immeasurable. I am so sad to know that she has left us; yet, I truly believe her spirit lives on with many. To Mickey's family and close friends, thank you for creating a space for us to share our love and memories--we will miss her very much!

I am very sorry to hear of Mickey's passing. She and I worked together for years with the state. She was a hard worker, and a great colleague, with a real sense of humor. She was a pleasure to know and to work with. She was always so committed to her family. My condolences to her family; thanks for sharing her with us for years.

This was such devastating news. Mickey was simply the best in so many ways. She was pragmatic, hard-working, straight-shooting, funny, insightful, caring, dedicated, cantankerous - (in a good way), honest and real. I am only one of the many who will miss her greatly.

So shocked to hear of Mickey's passing as I was unaware of any illness. She was married to my brother Doug and she was a sweetheart even though we did not talk to each other much, she was always in my thoughts especially after of Doug's passing. Will keep Wendy and Eric in my prayers and hope to see them later. Carol and Bob Stewart

When I think of Mickey, I think of an energetic person who brought joy and laughter to my life when we met as a Mother's group. An evening out with the girls doing scandalous things like having coffee, exchanging patterns, talking with other adults. The person who taught me how to be a cross country Mom and would chide me for not yelling loud enough. Thinking of you, Mickey, always and will always bring a smile to my face and I will hear your laughter.

Mickey was at the center of all we did at Casey. Her candy bowl and chair next to her desk were always available when you needed a break. She was more than a colleague, she was a good friend, caring about everyone's families and always with a proud and often funny story about Wendy, Jim and Eric and all their animals. I continued to look forward to our regular lunches after Casey ended. It is so hard to grasp that she is gone.

Mickey, aka Mortimer, had an amazing impact on everyone she met. I have never known anyone like her - she had a unique ability to strike up a conversation with a complete stranger and all involved would walk away with a big smile and a great story to tell. I will forever miss this beautiful lady. She certainly has a piece of my heart with her. Much love to Eric, Wendy, Jim and family. She loved each of you so deeply. Fly with the eagle Mort, fly with the eagle.

Mickey was so full of life. You could know Mickey without loving her. She was smart and spunky and her sarcasm spot on. I will miss my good friend.
