Janet McClure Obituary

Mrs. Janet Davis McClure passed away peacefully at the age of 94, Tuesday, March 4, 2025.

She was born in Ellijay, to the late Ralph L. Davis and Willa O. Davis (Anderson).

She is preceded in death by husband, Burford C. McClure; sisters, Audra Davis, Onita Jackson (Davis), Oleta Withrow (Davis); and brothers, Leland Davis and James "Jimmy" Davis.

She is survived by son, Danny Morris McClure; daughter, Linda Joy Summer; five grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren.

She retired from Lockheed Martin in Marietta. She enjoyed spending her retirement traveling, she loved cooking and putting on get-togethers for the family at her home. She was known as "Nannie" by most, but she will be greatly missed by all.

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Saturday, March 8, 2025, from the chapel of Bernhardt Funeral Home with the Rev. Billy Cantrell and the Rev. Jerry Clayton officiating.

Interment was in the Georgia National Cemetery. Bernhardt Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
