Amye Bates, 96, of Hickory Hill, Chesterfield, Virginia, departed this life Wednesday, December 16, 2025. She was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and Mary Brown Austin. She leaves cherished memories to her sister, Geneva Austin; nephew, Ellis Henderson; niece, Angela Bell; and a host of other relatives and friends. Remains rest at March Funeral Home, 2110 E. Laburnum Ave., Richmond, VA 23222. Graveside service 12 p.m., Tuesday, January 6, 2026, at Maury Cemetery.
