Barbara Parady Obituary

Barbara Roberts Parady

May 30, 1937 - May 23, 2025

Barbara Roberts Parady passed away peacefully on May 23, 2025. She was born in Richmond, Virginia, on May 30, 1937, to William and Audrey Roberts, and graduated from Varina High School before working as a legal secretary. In 1960, Barbara married William Parady and they moved to Hampton, Virginia, where they made a home for 61 years and raised a family together. She was a devoted stay-at-home mom to their three children, eventually returning to work as a Teacher's Aide with Special Education students, a position that she took great pleasure in. The only topic Barbara talked about more were her grandchildren, who she was immensely proud of and will remember her as a loving, funny grandma who was always there for them. Barbara is preceded in death by her beloved husband, William; and son Brad; and is survived by her son Craig Parady; daughter Tracie Parady (Norman); daughter-in-law, Sherry Parady; grandchildren, Conor, Nicholas, Zachary, Taylor, and Brocke; sister, Judy Walker (William); and many other extended family members. A graveside service will be held at Washington Memorial Park in Sandston, Va., on May 30, 2025, at 1 p.m. In lieu of flowers, the family is asking for donations to the Cure Alzheimer's Fund; www.curealz.org
