Carol Wash Obituary

WASH, Carol Green, was surrounded by her family as she passed from this life after being lovingly nursed through final illness by Skylar Colby. She was preceded in death by her husband of 40 years, Conrad Harvey Wash Sr.; her parents and three siblings. Carol was survived by her children, Adelaide McClellan and Conrad Harvey Wash Jr.; her grandchildren, Ann Ladd Lewis and Jake Wash; and Jakes' sons, C. J. and Christopher Wash; her great-grandchildren.

Carol graduated from Midlothian High School with honors and worked for the State Corporation Commission for 10 years. She later achieved a bachelors degree from V.C.U. in Independent Studies and was published in the V.C.U. literary magazine. She assisted in assembling and editing the White House of the Confederacy Cookbook. She and "Connie," her husband, collaborated in many business ventures including Va. Office Equipment Company, The Fin and Claw Fish Market and multiple rental properties in the Fan District and at Va. Beach. She was a facilitator for the National Organization for Women and did much volunteer work with schools, churches and agencies. She loved her family, reading, film, art, travel and dogs. Carol was a superb cook and loved to socialize, she kept her sense of humor and her beauty till the end.

The family will celebrate her life privately as was her wish.
