Catherine Broaddus Obituary

BROADDUS Catherine Lewis "Kitty" Broaddus, 79, of Mechanicsville, Va., passed away Thursday, August 24, 2006. She was preceded in death by her husband, Luther B. "Jeep" Broaddus; and her daughter, Jean B. Rice. She is survived by her son, L. Allen Broaddus and his wife, Rose T. Broaddus; son-in-law, David W. Rice; grandsons, David W. Rice II, Paul W. Rice, Luke A. Broaddus and Jake T. Broaddus, all of Mechanicsville; sisters, Virginia Beasley, Marilynn Dyson and Hannah Chance of Caroline County and Ella Fraizer of Portsmouth; and brother, Ted Lewis of Caroline County. Visitation will be held at the Woody Funeral Home, Atlee Chapel, 6 to 8:30 p.m. Sunday. Graveside services will be held at Signal Hill Cemetery on Monday at 3:30 p.m. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Hanover ARC.
