Christian Rice Obituary

RICE, Christian, 82, of Manchester, Ga., died Sunday, November 4, 2007 at Hospice LaGrange. Mr. Rice was born December 22, 1924 in Farmville, Va., son of the late Cleveland Stewart Rice and Anne Penn Christian Rice. He was a member of First Assembly of God, Manchester, Ga., and was retired from Penn Truck Aids as a driver. Mr. Rice was a U.S. Navy veteran and served during War World II. Survivors include his wife, Peggy Rice; one son, Pat Rice; two daughters, Judy Kayes and Bonnie Wells; two stepdaughters, Roni Rush and Terry Fitzsimmons; three stepsons, Fred Fitzsimmons, Steve Fitzsimmons, and Dave Fitzsimmons; grandchildren, Dan Richmond, Mary Lee Rice, Jesse Williams, Dannelle Rice, Christianna Rice, Margaret Rice, Christine Ferguson, Delina Johnson, Anna Warren, Beth, David, Kelley, Tasha, Jami, and Christopher Fitzsimmons; and one brother, Stewart Rice. A memorial service will be held 3 p.m. Saturday, November 10, 2007 at Living Word Church, 426 Courthouse Road, Richmond, Va. 23236. Flowers will be accepted or contributions may be made to Hospice LaGrange, 1510 Vernon Road, LaGrange, Ga. 30240, in memory of Mr. Christian Rice. Arrangements are by Striffler-Hamby Mortuary, 1010 Mooty Bridge Road, LaGrange, Ga. 30240, (706) 884-8636.
