Edward Underdown Obituary
September 24, 1957 - April 16, 2025
Edward Tony Underdown, age 67, of Mechanicsville, passed away April 16, 2025. Born in North Carolina, he was a son of the late James E. Underdown, Jr. and Hattie L. Underdown. He is survived by two brothers, Gerry Underdown (Celeste) and Jeff Underdown (Robin); three nieces, Rachel Underdown, Jamie Underdown, and Kasey Hoover (Ben); one nephew, Brett Underdown; several great-nieces and great-nephews; and cousins, Gene and Amy Henderson and Susan Gentry (Warren). Tony was especially grateful for the loving care and companionship given by Sharon Shaffer, Janet Cimino, and Denise Throckmorton for the last 10 years of his life.
Tony was a lifelong member of Fairfield Presbyterian Church. He loved his cats, the New York Yankees, and Duke Basketball.
Services will be private.
